Sketch of the Day . . . Keith!

Nice. What kind of pencil(s) and paper do you use for these kinds of quick sketch?

Thanks Dan, glad you like it. This Keith was done with a BIC ball point pen. It was drawn in my sketchbook, I'm not sure what kind of paper it is?

Cool, I wouldn't have thought you could get such a nice effect with a BIC. What do you usually use for your pencil sketches? I tend to start with an HB mechanical pencil then use a 2B for shading, and a 6B for some dark shadows. But I'd like to experiment with some other mediums.

For pencils, I like to sketch with mechanical pencils, I use DRAFT/MATIC .3mm and .5mm, and I also sometimes use 2B and 6B's just depends. BIC pens are a lot of fun, you should try it. I like it because you cannot erase, so it forces you to use your right brain more, that's always a good thing.
