Fire Escape Plein Air

Today I snuck out onto our fire escape while my babies were taking their nap and did this little plein air. I spent about an hour and a half on this one. From our view you can see the Aragon Ballroom off in the distance between all the other buildings. The Aragon is one of Chicago's famous venues for bands to play in, and it's only a couple blocks away from my apartment. About ten years ago, I saw Soundgarden at the Aragon Ballroom, very cool place.

Nice one Jason.. I remember the Aragon (as opposed the the Aragorn) ballroom as a young man enjoying the young man's game in Chicago. And yes many a fine rock band played there. Still thinking of a Fall long weekend trip out that way for some outdoor paint flinging. Keep up the good work!

Thank you much guys!

Kei- I often have to sneak out . . . gotta spend as much time with the kids as I can . . . still gotta squeeze the art in there as well! Only a couple days until we can hang! I can't wait!!

Bill- Thank you, glad you like it . . . I'm going to try something soon more from a distance . . . I've been doing pieces up close and in Chicago everything will be verticle! :) So I'm going to back up a bit and suggest a bit more to really capture the feeling of Chicago . . . which in my opinion is a unique city! BTW, I have a rigger, just didn't know what it was called . . . I'll have to give that a try! And I can't wait for you to come to my town . . . will be a blast painting with you!

Tim-Thank you man, glad you like my brushwork, that's something I've been trying to work on a lot, glad you noticed, I'm encouraged . . . thank you!
