I'm so sorry, my title is so cheezball . . . but I couldn't resist! OK, so this is the next phase, continuing to block in the face . . . spending a little more time detailing features and adjusting relationships. I'm digging the loose look so I may keep a lot of that loose feeling while tightening some other areas. I'm not sure yet, I'm just letting it happen.

David, this is how I usually work, more of a direct painting approach. Sometimes I do an underpainting, usually warm, or black and white. Then I lay color over my established values . . . but this way has more life to it, until of course I over work it. So I'm going to try to keep this one a bit tame and see how it works.
This year is just beginning and you are posting a lot!!.. When I saw him the first time I just thought: Tom Hanks!!.. You are really a master.. Hank a lot for sharing!!.. haha.. HAPPY 2008!!..

I just finished up my first tom hanks rendering for the schoolism assignment. I have had at least five people recognize who it is, so that's good! But looking at yours, I think I made the eyes on mine too big. I will redo it and send both along.
