Clown Be Gone

New painting "Clown be Gone" painted as a promotional piece for Richard Solomon Artists Representative.

I need to thank my good friend and talented artists Anthony Kosar for lending me a clown mask that he designed and made. I used his mask for reference and decided to keep my character close to his design as a nod to him and his great work. Check out Anthony's work here. Thanks Anthony, you da man!

Super good man. The hands (as always) are a triumph.

The rendering is triumphant, Jason, and the realism palpable. On the other hand I'm not really on board with the color choices of the clown... I'm sure you were intentionally going for off-putting and garish, but considering the painterly nature of the piece, that acid green color feels out of place.

And on the OTHER hand... great hands! Wow.

Simply awesome, Jason!
The completion of the illustration was wonderful.
A work full of detail and with great sense of volume.
I wonder if in the end, you blur utilizes load funds, to highlight the characters from the rest of the composition.
The work of his friend Anthony, "is also excellent!
You two are to be congratulated!

All the best.
